Three Generations
Cuna Olives is a family-owned enterprise rooted in Tasmania’s southern landscape, a region where climate and soil combine to produce exceptional olives.
With more than 75 years of combined experience in hospitality, tourism, and communication, with chef qualifications at its heart, our family knows how to bring food and stories to life. That same instinct now guides our journey into growing olives.
The name Cuna, inspired by the Spanish word for “quoin,” signifies a cornerstone presence. From an inspired beginning with neighbours in our small valley planting sixty trees, our vision has grown into a co-operative of four farms and nearly 4,000 trees, ranging in variety and age from newly planted to decades old. Each is hand-cultivated with regenerative farming practices, patience, and intention, producing fruit that carries both purity and depth.
Tasmania’s boutique scale olive industry belies a global ambition. Olive oil and table olives are a cornerstone of diets across the world with the health benefits of olives widely celebrated. Into this space, Cuna Olives offers a clear and confident offering.
Our first releases include premium table olives, a Tassie grown truffle and olive tapenade, and soon, estate olive oil.
Table ready, island grown.
